Plot

School Hall mystery series starts with Alex, a young chess champion who struggles after the tragic loss of his parents, getting a scholarship at Crestwood Academy by Mr. Harrington, the principal. Alex soon meets his roommate Sam, who reveals that Crestwood is far more than an elite educational institution. It is surrounded by mystery. Sam introduces Alex to Chloe, a brilliant chess player, and warns him about Mark, a bully who thrives on his family’s legacy as the Academy’s founders.
